Study on the Commercial Format Space Optimization of Xuzhou Western Business District

In this paper,on the basis of reviewing the related research of commercial format structure of urban retail commercial activities,taking the western business district of Xuzhou city as an example.The research summarized the characteristics of its structure and revealed the existed problems through the quantitative analysis of industry species and commercial format of their retail outlets.Then,based on Carey quadrilateral model,the research planned the commercial format spatial structure of ＂a core area and four areas＂ of western business district and proposes the strategy of format optimization for each functional area.The study provides some helpful ideas to the layout of retail business and commercial format optimization of China＇s urban commercial sub-center.
