Abstract:The Quality of Freedom offers a precise, meticulously argued, non-moralised understanding of socio-political liberty as physical unforeclosedness. Norms of Liberty: A Perfectionist Basis for Non-Perfectionist Politics presents an innovative 'metanormative defence' of negative liberty rights that does not depend on atomism, a social contract or self-ownership.
