Abstract: | Abstract While convention centers have continued to grow and expand, the basic facts about this segment of the hospitality industry have not been widely available. This article seeks to change that situation by undertaking exploratory research that takes the most important characteristics of convention centers (Adams, 1984; Fenich, 1992; Leo & Levite, 1986; Zia, 1988) and then provides descriptive statistics for them. This information should be useful to academics and practitioners alike, both to describe current business practices and for use in future analysis. |
