Automation in the travel industry

The travel industry world wide has often found itself the guinea-pig for innovations in information technology; yet at the same time it is an industry highly suited to, and in need of, the advantages that technology can bring. Ron Booth, who is proprietor of a travel agency in Liverpool and Chairman of the Technology Committee of the Association of British Travel Agents, discusses the impact of automation on the travel agent.
