| Abstract: | s:Although the physical natures of colors are the same, there are differences in the connotative meaning as well as the cultural meaning. This paper discusses the different usage of red color, indicating the varieties in terms of different semantic field and cultural meaning between Chinese and English. The paper shows that red color doesn't always represent the same things in different languages. How and what it represents remains the subject of research in cultural translation. |
