Dongfeng Automobile Calls on "Greater Independence"

"Starting from this year,our company brand will enter a new phase of ’great independence’.We will place all our emphasis and resources to foster the development of our company brand," announced Zhu Fushou,the General Manager of Dongfeng Motor,in the Celebration Ceremony of the Millionth Dongfeng Vehicle cum News Conference of the Interim Results of Dongfeng Brand on 10th Dec,2011.Dongfeng staff has longed for the message for more than 10 years.In the end of the 90’s,the company lost hundreds of million Yuan.However,in the first half of 2010,it came to the first of the four leading automobile companies(Dongfeng,SAIC,Changan,GAGC) in China.It was once heavily criticized for relying too much on the joint ventures with foreign automobile companies but now it has been developing its own brand proactively.Dongfeng has never lost its determination to excel.Everyone knows that importance of Chinese automobiles is far less influential than the position of its market in the world.It is a regret of Miao Wei and now the responsibility of Xu Ping and Zhu Fushou.Will the recent transformations of Dongfeng induce any changes to the Chinese automobile market?
