近代美国南方工业:振兴与启迪

美国南方工业化以地区原材料和矿藏为基础,利用本地廉价的劳动力,建立起南方工业的“块”,同时以铁路为“线”,将这些“块”串起,形成了整个南方工业的网。棉纺、烟草、木材、采煤、钢铁冶炼、石油开采等工业的发展,打破了南方“棉花种植——棉纺织业”的单一经济格局,走向工农业发展的多样化。工业不仅从单一走向多元,而且布局从沿海向内地延伸,形成了工业的遍地开花状,最终促成南方工业社会的来临。

Enlightenment from the Industrialization of American South

The industrialization of American South was based on the local raw material,the local mineral resources and the local cheap labor force.It also relied on the building of the railway.After breaking through the single-product economy of cotton,American South developed a diversified industry including cotton textile,tobacco,timber,coal,iron and steel and oil.Besides, it took shape a new distribution of industry from coastal areas to hinterland.
