陶望龄与袁宏道交游新考

对陶望龄与袁宏道交游的情况,学界争议颇多。笔者认为,陶望龄与袁宏道最直接的接触集中在陶望龄三十三岁到三十六岁间。他与袁宏道共有过四次会面：二人相识最早当在万历二十二年,主要是一起谈佛论道;万历二十三年,陶望龄从北京回会稽,途经吴县,与袁宏道会面;第三次是万历二十四年,陶望龄应上次会面之约,偕其亲友,从浙江到吴县拜访袁宏道,逗留十余日;第四次即最后一次见面是万历二十五年,陶望龄与刚解官的袁宏道一起游览东南胜迹。此次游览时间长达三月,二人留下大量诗文,这时期是二人相互之间影响最大、最深的一段时间,且陶望龄诗风在此期间彻底完成了由严谨到挥洒的转变。

Tao＇s style of poetry has changed from rigorous to free in this period.
