World Tourism: Review in 2004 and Forecast in 2005

The year 2004 was the first year to show signs of recovery in the field of world tourism.It witnessed a fastest increase in world tourism after the setback caused by several events and crises occurring in three successive years since 1984.The in-bound tourists reached 760 million, total demand of world travel & tourism is expected to generate US$5490 billion. The year of 2004 has been recorded the most fastest increasing rate in the past 20 years. The world tourism in 2005 will be expected to keep the momentum of rapid development by overcoming various risks and crisis. With the world economy maintaining the fast increase, a new change has taken place and strategies of accelerating the development of tourism have been formulated.
