Research on the Effect of Rural Residents' Income on Consumption in Chongqing

On the basis of previous theoretical studies, the essay takes Chongqing as an example and analyses how income affects consumption. By using empirical analysis, it points out that the income gap restricts the con- sumption level. The article draws a conclusion that increasing rural income and minimizing the income gap is of vital significance to promoting rural consumption in Chongqing.
