The paper regards the period from 1897 to 1949 as the preliminary period of history of Chinese economic thought.In view of the lack of academic researches in the preliminary period and related positive judgments,and also its important effects on subsequent studies,based on the angle of academic history study,the paper systematically presents the main achievements and historical position of history of Chinese economic thought in the preliminary period,focusing on research achievements,academic discussion,academic value and research characteristics.The paper also puts forward a few concrete suggestions for the development of the subject of history of economic thought.
