| Abstract: | The application of a number of metaphors in Qian Zhong-shu's masterpiece- Besieged City makes it witty and ironic. The usage of idioms and historical anecdotes adds to its cultural information volume and makes it interesting. It approaches the life and minds of literates. In portraying the figures.it has the trend of "conveying spirit by appearance". Its language lacks natural beauty. |
