| Affiliation: | Peter Lorange is the William H. Wurster Professor of Multinational Management and Director of the William H. Wurster Center for International Management Studies and Director, The Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, A specialist in multinational rnanagement and strategic planning systems and processes, he has completed extensive surveys of US.-based and international corporations, studying how to design and revise planning systems. Dr. Lorange has written extensively on the subject of corporate planning and strategic management including authoring, co-authoring, or editing the following: Strategic Planning Systems, Corporate Planning: An Executive Viewpoint, Implementation of Strategic Planning, Strategic Control, and Cooperative Strategies in International Business. Three books, The CEO's Perspective on Strategic Planning, Strategic Planning: A Current Perspective, and The Essence of Strategic Planning are scheduled to be published soon. He has also published more than 50 articles on his subject of expertise. Dr. Lorange is a strategic management consultant to major corporations in the US., Europe, South America, and the Far East. He is also a director of Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc., a Boston-based environmental engineering firm and a director of Softbridge, Inc., a Cambridge-based software development firm. Born in Oslo, Norway, and a citizen of Norway, Dr. Lorange received his undergraduate education from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business, was awarded an M.A. in Operations Management from Yale University, and his Doctor o f Business Administration degree from Harvard University. Before coming to Wharton in 1980, he taught at the Sloan School at MIT and at IMEDE, the Management Development Institute, Lausanne, Switzerland. |
