Abstract: | The potential for future grain production in the prairie provinces for the next 20 years is considered in relation to known technology. It is concluded that a doubling of grain production is possible if known technology is used, and a tripling is possible if technology is combined with the cultivation of potentially new arable lands, and if economic incentives are such to encourage producers to use present technology and new lands. |
