The Theoretical Logic and Realistic Constraints for Food Companies to Choose Third-Party Cold Chain Logistics Service Providers

Abstract:Food safety have always been a hot and important issue of people’s livelihood.Based on the background of food safety,this article analyzes the main reasons for food safety from the perspective of logistics transportation and management;then,on the basis of analyzing the actual necessity of food companies choosing a third-party cold chain logistics model,based on the principal-agent theory,the food Enterprises choose the constraint mechanism of third-party cold chain logistics.The study found that the principal-agent theory is applicable to the problem of food companies choosing a third-party cold chain logistics service provider;food companies choose a third-party cold chain logistics service provider to have a certain constraint mechanism,and only when the constraint mechanism is met,the third-party cold chain logistics service provider can will consciously choose to work hard and use his professional knowledge to serve the logistics needs of food companies.
