日美科技城市发展比较分析

经济全球化和信息化使城市发展突破地理空间局限,城市类型呈现出多元化的发展趋势。自20世纪50年代以来,科技城市异军突起,成为世界城市经济发展的新潮流。科技城市让经济增长受限的国家和地区实现跨越式发展成为可能,并在全球产业结构调整过程中成为区域经济新的增长极。各国在推进科技城建设中所采取的发展战略也有所不同,其中日本与美国的科技城市分别代表了政府主导与市场主导两种截然不同的发展模式。我国目前正处于城市化快速发展时期,发展科技城是解决城市化问题的重要手段。采取何种模式来推动我国科技城市的发展,对于处在发展关键时期的中国经济来讲十分重要。

Technopolis: A Comparison between the U.S.and Japan

Economic globalization and the development of information technolgy have broken the geographic boundaries and therefore have diversified the urban types,among which technopolis has been a trend of urban develompement since the 1950s.Technopoles have enabled the countries and regions that suffer from growth limitations to make great leaps.These technopoles have become the new growth poles of regional economy.There are different strategies to develop technopoles: the government dominated model which is represented by Japan and the market dominated model which is represented by the U.S.We argue that the development of technopoles can be an outlet for the Chinese urbanization.It is especially important for China,however,to choose the most adequate model to develop the technopoles.
