Economic Belt of Silk Road and Sino-Russian Cooperation in Central Asia

The reaction of Russian society to the ＂Silk Road economic zone＂ varies and understanding and doubts coexist. On the one hand, Russia wants to maintain its present status in Central Asia, on the other hand, it lacks understanding of the common interests of China and Russia in the area. In fact, China and Russia have common security and economic interests and can develop a cooperation mechanism in Central Asia. This is the foundation for the two countries to further expand regional cooperation in Central Asia.
