关于语言单极化和文化趋同化问题的探讨

经济全球化会导致强势语言拥有话语霸权或文化主导地位,从而有可能出现语言单极化和文化趋同化的趋势,对此,存在不同的态度。多元文化的存在是客观的,经济全球化背景下的文化交融和文化多元化是两个并存发展的趋势。我们在广泛的交流与合作中,既要弘扬本国的传统,又要吸纳强势文化的某些优秀成果,发展多样性语言和多元化文化。目前,英语具有强势语言的某些特征,努力学习英语,对促进文化交流和发展本国经济具有积极意义。

Discussion on Language Polorization and Cultural Convergence

The economic globalization is bound to make the strong language a cultural dominant position or cultural hegemony,which will lead to the tendency of unipolar of language and the cultural convergence.There are different attitudes towards this.There really exists diversity of culture;cultural convergence and cultural diversity both exist under the background of economic globalization.Extensive exchanges and cooperation should be promoted while national traditions and customs should be safeguarded.To develop the diversity of language and culture,it is necessary to carry forward the tradition of our own,but also to absorb some of the outstanding achievements of the strong culture.At present,English has some features of a strong language.It contributes to the development of our national economy to learn English and promote cultural exchange.
