Identifying the distressed areas: An integrated-multivariate approach

The paper seeks to identify the areas of economic distress in a development planning objective aims at maintaining inter-regional balance in economic development. Using an integrated rather than a fragmentary approach, and employing the multivariate technique in the analysis, the results show that the country in question is still far from achieving the desired goal.
