Economic Research on the Connotation and Influencing Factors of Skill Shortage

Skills shortage has become a major obstacle to influence the industrial upgrading and development. Based on the review of literatures, there are many ways to define skill short- age. Skills shortage is divided into external skill shortage and internal skill gap, which is the most widely accepted view. The external major factors are compensation, macro-economy and labor situation; the internal major factors are human capital depreciation, training cost sharing mode and so on.
