Abstract: | This issue's book review looks at an important title written on the subject of technology management by Lowell W. Steele, a member of the Journal's Editorial Board. The review has been prepared by Randy Englund, a program manager in Hewlett-Packard's Systems Technology Division in California. Englund's favorable review mentions several of the book's highlights: - •
discussion of important guidelines for success, - •
emphasis on the importance of team learning and building a sense of project ownership, - •
recognition that "should we" questions sometimes are overlooked in favor of "can we" questions, perhaps to the detriment of truly assessing project relevance and - •
importance of industry standards and how this links to rewards for dominant industrial survivors.
