武汉市城市化进程实证分析

本文基于武汉市1990年、2000年人口普查资料和各乡镇、街道1949～2002年户籍人口统计资料,对武汉市城市化历史进程、现状、市内城市化差异进行综合实证分析.研究表明:从1949～2002年,武汉市城市化进程曲折缓慢,武汉市城市化水平较低,城市化水平明显落后于工业化和非农就业水平,城区与郊区之间城市化进程差异明显.变"在控制中发展"为"发展中控制"是武汉市城市化发展的必由之路.

An Empirical Analysis of Urbanization Process in Wuhan City

Population centralizing to cities, industries centralizing to the secondary industry and the tertiary industry are signs of economic prosperity and social development. Urbanization drive play vital role in transferring rural surplus labors, breaking dual structure between urban and rural areas, and accelerating the adjustment of industrial structures. Based on time series street registered population statistical data from 1949 to 2002 and the 4th an 5th National Population Census(NPC) data of of Wuhan City, this paper analyzes the history and today of urbanization process in Wuhan City. It shows that the city's urbanization level nowadays is only 59.8%, which is obviously lower than local industrialization level. Meanwhile, observable urbanization level gap exists between inner-city and outskirt of the city. We should form a structure-reasonable and multi-function city-network. In this process, government must implement flexible economic policy and constitute logical town planning.
