施工招投标领域的信息不对称主要表现在业主与承包商之间的信息不对称和工程交易环节的信息不对称二个方面。其中，前者是由于政策、环境、条件等方面的限制造成在招投标过程中，一方对另一方的信息无法全面的了解和掌握；后者是由于法律法规的不健全、科技手段的隐蔽性、招投标程序的随意化、工作人员的职业道德等因素造成信息的不对称。通过采用规范评标程序、合理确定评标价格的手段化解因信息不对称造成的弊端，强调政府职能部门的监管是消除和预防招投标过程中信息不对称的重要因素。
