合作学习在西部高职英语教学中的应用

合作学习以异质合作学习小组活动为基本形式,将师生互动的单一交流延伸为学生与学生互动的全方位交流,能大面积提高学生的英语水平、培养交际能力。文章从分析西部高职英语教学中的不利因素出发,阐述了合作学习的内涵、特点、实施步骤及教学事例,对推动西部高职英语教学方式的改革有一定的现实意义。

Application of Cooperative Learning to Higher Vocational College English Teaching in Western China

Cooperative Learning is characterized by cooperative learning groups of dissimilar elements, which changes communication patterns from teacher-student single-directional interaction to student-student all-directional interaction. It not only increases most students＂ grades, but also improves their communication ability. By analyzing the weak points in higher vocational college English teaching of Western China, the paper expatiates on the background, connotation, features, and procedures of cooperative learning, which is of practical significance to promote the innovation of English teaching methods in higher vocational education in Western China.
