The economic outlook for London

London's economy clearly entered a new growth phase in 2005, supported by strong recovery in financial markets. This improvement in economic performance has been especially marked within the Central London Boroughs, but with some significant variation between them. This article argues that this marks a return to London-led growth for the UK, becoming more noticeable moving into the medium term once the short-term impacts of last year's terrorist attacks have disappeared.
