Abstract: | What we achieve: 2 Laws In China's labor market, everything was changed on January 1, 2008, for employers in China, when China's new labor law went into effect, enhancing rights for mainland workers, including open-ended work contracts and severance pay. The Labor Contract Law aims to improve job security for workers, making open-ended terms of employment for those who have completed two fixed terms. The legislation limits overtime, sets minimum wages and requires one month's pay for each year worked for dismissed employees. |
