| Abstract: | The problem of restructuring China Rail in fact is a problem of redefining the boundary of the firm. This paper tries to analyze how to redefine the boundaries of China rail enterprises based on the concept of transaction cost in terms of Coase and the approach of Williamson on the governance structures varying with the nature of the transactions. |
