| Abstract: | As the most important support of language system,English vocabulary is a worthy way to explore the relation between language and culture.In this thesis,the writer analyses the cultural connotation,historical traces concerning English place-names.Through this way,the readers may gain more about the culture and history of English nations so as to find a better way to learn foreign language. |
