This paper introduces the features of practical teaching and learning in polytechnics,analyzes the shortcomings of practical teaching and learning,states the principles which should be abided by in practical teaching and learning and puts forward some ways of inproving practical teaching and learning.The paper also points out that practical teaching and learning is a complicated project,the establishment and improvement of this project need scientific planning,conscientious implementation as well as joint efforts and coordination by all levels.
