Firm's Surplus Resources and the Nine-cell Matrix --A New Way to Interpret Diversification Strategy of the Firm

In the series of theories interpreting the diversification strategies of the enterprises,the Nine-cell matrix has offered a method which concerned on the outer circumstance of the firm.This article analyzed the limit of this model.By adding the concept of "firm's surplus resources" (furthermore,classified it in detail as "temporary surplus resources and longtime surplus resources")into the model,and using the N-S flow chat,we demonstrated the process of the firm making strategic decisions with respect to bunches of factors around.Thus offered a better way to interpret firm's diversification strategy.
