萧山区的水系可概分为:南部低山丘陵与河谷平原,中部水网平原,北部为人工河网平原,呈格子状分布。随着全区经济社会的快速发展,水环境问题十分突出。因此,区委区政府把整治河道,改善水环境作为"十一五"期间水利建设的一个重点来抓,明确了目标,出台了一系列政策,整治后的水环境和河道,已悄然成为一道道亮丽的风景线,水环境正在得到有效的改善。
