The paper presents a reverse logistics inventory control model under the condition of permissible return and shortage assuming that the returned products after recovering and inspection can be sold again like the news and analyzes the influences of the different delay time, different return rate and the different shortage costs in optimal ordering policy, average inventory expense and expected profits of the seller.
