Abstract:"This is my last chance to speak on behalf of RedBaby," says Xu Peixin,who sits back relaxed in the office with hands behind his head.After the Chinese National Day holiday,Xu will step down as CEO and chairman of RedBaby,bidding farewell to the company which he co-founded. Although Xu has invested in over a dozen other companies in the past,no other captured his attention like RedBaby.For eight years,he has taken great care to be a part of the company,attending every weekly executive meeting and the monthly company flag raising ceremony,as well as taking time out to play football with his colleagues from time to time. Then Suning came and acquired the RedBaby. This pioneering company once stood center stage in China’s e-commerce industry, but now is quietly fading away.
