| Abstract: | The thermo-analysis method is used here to study the relation between the solidifying proper- ty, the compensating ability and the section size of ductile iron. The realizing condition of the non-riser casting is also revealed. The example of the successful use of non-riser casting to pro- duce nodular cast iron is introduced. |
