Research on freeze-thaw resistance of recycled concrete with granulated blast furnace slag

Abstract:In order to ensure the structural freeze-thaw safety of buildings in severe cold areas,the granulated blast furnace slag mixed recycled aggregate concrete with a W/C (water-cement ratio) of 47% was studied.Through multiple sets of tests,the bleeding and compressive strength of the mixed concrete were evaluated,and the freeze-thaw resistance of recycled aggregate concrete mixed with granulated blast furnace slag was analyzed.The results show that:1) when the granulated blast furnace slag content is less than 50%,its bleeding can be kept below 0.1BFQ] cm3/cm2;2) in the filling performance test of concrete,after adding granulated blast furnace slag,the interstitial passability of the concrete is outstanding,the compressive strength is lower than that of ordinary concrete,but it has sufficient freeze-thaw resistance;3) when the mix ratio of concrete is designed in the normal strength range,granulated blast furnace slag is used to replace the broken sand( less than 50%),which has sufficient performance of bleeding,compressive strength,and freeze-thaw resistance.Recycled aggregate concrete mixed with granulated blast furnace slag can be used for engineering construction in high-cold areas,the results can effectively improve the freeze-thaw resistance of the building in high-cold areas and extend its service life,which also provide a certain reference for the preparation of freeze-thaw-resistant concrete in high-cold areas.
