What's New in U.S. Trade Regulation?
摘    要:With the benefits afforded by engaging in international trade comes the hurdle of navigating the complex regime of U.S. trade controls. In 2009, traders will contend with yet another new trade control in the United States: the May 2008 amendments to the Lacey Act of 1900. These amendments, aimed at preventing illegal logging, affect every product containing any amount of plant or plant product that is imported into or traded within the United States. Compliance with these measures may be onerous at first, but should become routine quickly with proper preparation.
