Abstract:This paper describes the numerica calculation and stability analysis of the hydraulic transcients under large and small disturbance based on the rigid theory with internal character analysis in hydraulic instalation with downstream surge tank.The correction of the equation systems was approved by the site test with 14 testing cases in Jin Po Lake hydropower station with down stream surge tank,In October 1990,we applicate the approved theory to Da Chiao San hydropower station with down stream surge tank,the results of calculation analysis has demonstrated that it is satisfied for practical requirements of engineering safety and stable operation when the workingarea is reduced 50 percent of the original design in surge tank.There are practical value and bring to more economy profits for the engineering application of this paper.
