| Abstract: | This discussion paper hypothesizes that the concept of positionality could also apply to accessibility and mobility. Positionality implies that the utility of a good depends on how the good is distributed amongst the population. In this case: the appreciation of a certain level of accessibility or mobility depends on the level of accessibility or mobility of others. The paper explains why this could be the case, provides theoretical underpinnings for it, and discusses options for future research. |
