National Palace Museum Opens Online Shop
Abstract:The traditional National Palace Museum is trying to keep up with the trend. It opens an online shop in Taobao and sells a series of Q-version cultural products, such as the images of royal soldiers, the Eight Banners babies,and tide-persons in Ming Dynasty. It becomes convenient for people to buy its souvenirs with the help of the Internet. The online shop is operated by the cultural service center directly under the National Palace Museum. Its main products include over 200 styles of Q-version products designed by the experts and the design team. It is also the first online shop for museums in China. Popular words such as "Q-version" soldiers or "tide-person" in Ming Dynasty are used for the first time to describe articles in the National Palace Museum. Currently, the online shop mainly sells Q-version products for young people. It is revealed that more efforts will be made in the research and design and that more cultural products for different consumer groups will be made available in the coming months.
