Pearl River Delta small and medium enterprise development difficulty and countermeasure in late crisis time

The Pearl River Delta is one of the most successful cases of economic re-integration. After the global financial crisis, SMEs in the Pearl River Delta region is facing multiple problems such as raw material prices and labor costs escalation, appreciation of the RMB exchange rates, financing difficulties, and the sharp reduction in orders. This paper aims to explore the causes of above mentioned issues and provides few policy recommendations.
