China:How to Resolve the Enlarging Digital Divide

This paper analyzes three kinds of digital divide in China, and analyzes the reasons as well. We believe that the strategic significance of reducing digital divide is to realize the transition from a big state to a powerful state on the aspect of the information industry and the popularization of information technology, and build the new model for development in harnessing information and knowledge, which is also an important approach that China pursue after the developed countries. So, it is necessary for the government to reduce digital divide, and the central policy is to promote the resource to flow to such fields that can contribute to the economic growth and knowledge development.
