经济发展战略与中国的工业化

企业技术结构的选择取决于相应的要素投入结构 ,而企业的要素投入结构只有与本地的禀赋结构相吻合 ,才能在技术结构选择上实现成本极小化的目的 ,进而实现持续的增长和发展。因此 ,一国工业的发展战略能否充分利用本地的比较优势将决定其长期绩效。发展中国家欲实现从农业国向工业国转化的目标 ,就应当采取遵循本国比较优势的发展战略。本文的实证分析表明 ,中国政府在发展战略上的转变是近 2 0多年来工业化成功的关键。无论是国有工业 ,还是非国有工业 ,无论是农村工业 ,还是城市工业 ,其发展均要遵循比较优势的原则

Development Strategy and Industrialization of China

In this paper, we argue that the successful experience of industrialization in China in the last two decades can be largely explained by the adoption of the comparative advantage development strategy. To support this hypothesis, we construct an econometric model and the impacts of development strategy are tested with province level data on the TVE and SOE for the period of 1978—1997. The results are consistent with the hypotheses: the development strategy is detrimental to long term industrialization and economic growth.
