Treasure and Save the Land for Industrial Use--A Discussion on Land Saving in Aluminum Smeltery

A large population with comparatively less land is part of basic conditions of China. The contradiction between total land demand and supply is becoming more obvious for such reasons as urbanization and industrial construction. With several good examples of land saving projects, the paper discusses the measures taken by the aluminum smeltery for the purpose of saving land: rationalizing width of passageway, increasing building factors, integrating the layout of the whole plant, socializing civil utilities, and reducing the area of land occupied by buildings and structures.
