| Abstract: | Headlines are the epitome and highlight of the content of newspapers and periodicals. They should be both very concise and striking. This paper discusses the characteristics of the headlines of newspapers and periodicals from the following three aspects: word, ellipsis and rhetorical devices, and the corresponding translation methods concerning these different characteristics. |
