试论蔡伦的科学精神

自1980年代以来,学术界对蔡伦精神或蔡伦的科学精神进行了初步总结和概括,但还不够系统和全面。文章从蔡伦一生的价值追求、人生态度、工作作风和开拓精神等四个方面对其科学精神进行了总结和概括,以期加深读者对我国东汉时期杰出的科学家蔡伦的认识和了解,为弘扬蔡伦的科学精神而努力。

On Cailun＇s Scientific Spirit

Cailun, who was widely known as the inventor of paper-making, was a distinguished scientist in the Dong Han Period in China. Although he was a eunuch, he had been in the quest of science through his lifetime. The scientific spirit of Cailun was embodied mainly in the following aspects： his pursuit of the values of caring about the world; his life attitude of respecting and loving for science; his down-to-earth working style of pursuing truth and perfection; his pioneering spirits with the bravery of exploring and creating. The scientific spirit of Cailun, which has become a treasure for China and even for the whole mankind, has been motivating us on the road of our pursuing of science.
