可译性与不可译性是翻译界一直存有争议的话题。然而,根据对可译性的理据和不可译论的错误根源的分析,少数暂时不可译的现象可定义为＂难译＂。从文化层面上看＂难译＂有转化为＂可译＂的条件,包括译者的创造性劳动和文化的交流与融合及人们认识能力的提高。

On the Conversion of ＂Translation Difficulty＂ into ＂Translationability＂ from the Perspective of Culture

＂Translationability＂ and ＂intranslationability＂ has long been a hot dispute in the field of translation.This article analyzes the foundation of translationability and the root cause for the wrongness of intranslationability,and suggests that the phenomenon of few temporary intranslationability be termed as ＂translation difficulty＂.Next,this article illustrates the prerequisites of cultural ＂translation difficulty＂ and ＂translationability＂.The focus is on the conditions under which cultural difficulty is turned into tranlationability,including the creativeness of translators and the exchange and merge of different cultures.
