This article investigates the new developments in the area of medical and clinical genetics, in particular in the area of molecular medicine. Based on this, a presentation and discussion of the current legislations in selected countries follows. A further focal point is the differing interpretation and application of the investigation and disclosure bans. The paper ends with a discussion of various argumentation methods for future law politics.
