The new technical basis of the Swedish life insurance companies

Abstract

During the past year most of the Swedish life insurance companies have agreed upon instituting common technical basis for the calculation of premiums, policy reserves, surrender values and prospective bonus (returns of premiums). Chiefly the same basis also has been adopted by two companies outside the agreement, and with one exception all Swedish life insurance companies now use the same premiums.
