Coordination of Old age Social Security and Socio economic Policies in China

There are many factors affecting the demand for and supply to social security for the elderly.The relationships among these factors are very complex.The nature and pattern of the system social security for the elderly depend on the political institutions and economic system as well as demographic situation of a country.The rationality and efficiency of the system and policies concerned can bring about the strong influences to political,social and economic life and living conditions of the people at both macro and micro levels.Given the challenges to social security system,Chinese government needs to build a rational and high efficiency support system in policy making,and coordinate the policy of social security for the elderly with other social and economic policies in order to strengthen the abilities of whole society to meet the challenges of aging.
