草原牧者：边缘地带上的天主教会

本研究通过对内蒙古西部鄂托克前旗的考察，试就这一地区天主教文化所处的“边缘”地位加以讨论。历史上，这里是有名的天主教传教区，但在今天，它已经从堪称中心的地位完全沦落到了边缘地位。由于该地区地处偏远，因此，官方认可的教会和民间教会在这里都有自身的发展空间。它们之间事实上也没有隔绝交流，这在神职人员身份的认同问题上得以体现。此外，由于这种共存现象和当地的多民族聚居状况，致使当地的天主教文化显示了与其它地区不同的特色。

The Herdsmen on the Grassland:the Catholic Church in Inner Mongolia

Historically, the Etok Banner （in the west of Inner Mogolia） was a well-known Catholic missionary centre. Nowadays, however, it has been totally marginalized. Due to its out-of-the-way location, the non-governmental church is allowed to thrive alongside the governmental one. In fact, there are interflows between the two churches, and priesthood of one church is recognized by the other. Such a phenomenon of symbiosis, coupled with the multi-nationalities of the area, has made its Christian culture something quite unparalleled in other areas.
